Punjab Newsline, Chandigarh, December 27-

More than 3000 doctors of Haryana have gone on strike today to demand the government to fulfill their long pending demands.

During this period, only emergency services will be available while OPD in hospitals will remain closed and doctors will not examine patients. Along with emergency, trauma center, and post-mortem house will also remain functional.

Haryana Civil Medical Services Association (HCMSA) has warned that if their demands are not met, they will go on complete strike from December 29.

Doctors have been protesting for long pending demands including a separate cadre for specialist doctors, increasing the rule of filling two bonds of Rs 1 crore each while doing PG while in service to Rs 50 lakh, selection of senior medical officers through promotion instead of direct recruitment.
