Correction in PPP is a continuous process - Manohar Lal
So far, more than 84 lakh complaints have been received in 22 categories of PPP, out of which 80.5 lakh have been redressed
Chandigarh, February 21 - Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal, while highlighting the significance of the Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) scheme, described it as unique and integral in ensuring public access to government schemes and services. Under PPP, citizens can update or correct their details within 30 days, ensuring efficient service delivery. Of the 84,34,961 complaints received across 22 categories, approximately 80,50,611 have been resolved.
The remaining approximately 3.86 lakh complaints will be resolved soon.
Responding to a member's query during the Question Hour of the Haryana Assembly's budget session, Sh Manohar Lal said that self-declared data was entered by the citizens in the PPP, after which changes were made as per requirement. He said that 84,34,961 complaints were received under the correction module. These complaints can be 2-2 or even 3-3 from one family. About 2,82,000 complaints were received through the ticketing module and social media, out of which 2,63,852 have been resolved. Apart from this, 12,05,667 complaints were also received regarding problems faced by citizens while availing any service, out of which 11,40,690 have been rectified.
He informed that complaints have been received by citizens for changes and updates in about 22 categories like name, address, spouse's name, date of birth, bank account, occupation, income etc. About 5.04 lakh complaints concerning the date of birth have also been rectified. He said that maximum changes have been made in the income category. For verification of income, local committee, sectoral committee at block level and district level committee have been formed, changes in income are made only after their verification. He said that there are 48,851 people whose income was recorded as less in the PPP but they complained that their income was higher, after which their income was corrected.
He said that the process of updating PPP categories is ongoing, with the government actively engaged in this endeavor. Integration of birth, death, and marriage registration data with PPP enables automatic updates within the system, further enhancing its efficiency and accuracy.
The Chief Minister highlighted the widespread acceptance of PPP among the public, emphasizing that all government schemes and services are now accessible through PPP. Addressing past issues of misuse, the system has now been rectified, particularly in ration card and pension distribution. The public's perception reflects confidence in the improved system. He said that if any member informs us about any complaint regarding correcting the data in PPP, then it will definitely be corrected within 30 days.
