Punjab News Line, Chandigarh:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive at the I-II International Airport around 5.30 pm today. Later President Putin will host a private dinner for Prime Minister Modi. On Tuesday, Prime Minister Modi and Putin will attend the 22nd India-Russia Annual Summit. After Russia, Prime Minister Modi will visit Austria for the first time. This will be the first visit of an Indian Prime Minister to Austria in 41 years after Indira Gandhi in 1983.

In an interview to Russia's state television channel, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stressed that the West is closely and jealously monitoring Prime Minister Modi's upcoming visit to Russia. According to this report, in response to a question about the jealous attitude of Western politicians towards Modi's visit to Russia, Peskov said that they are jealous. This means that they are closely monitoring it. Their close monitoring means that they attach great importance to it. And they are not wrong, there is a lot of value in that. In a reflection of its strong friendship with Russia, India has not yet condemned Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine, and continues to say that the conflict should be resolved through diplomacy and dialogue.
