Preparations for the 37th International Surajkund crafts mela complete

Punjab Newslline, Chandigarh, January 30 -
Haryana Tourism Minister Kanwar Pal, has informed that preparations for the 37th International Surajkund Crafts Mela, scheduled to commence on February 2 in Faridabad, are now complete. The theme state for the fair will be Gujarat, and the cultural partner will be North East (Ashta Lakshmi). The inauguration of the Surajkund Fair will be done by the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu.
Kanwar Pal shared this information during a review meeting with officers of the Tourism Department at Haryana Niwas in Chandigarh today. He mentioned that the fair is schedule from February 2 to February 18.
He further stated that this year confluence of arts and culture of India and abroad will be seen in the fair. Along with this, artists will be seen entertaining the audience with folk dance and singing. He said that around 800 people from 50 countries have registered to participate and their handicrafts and folk arts will be showcased.
