Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) created history by winning the UEFA Champions League title for the second consecutive time. While the club’s remarkable achievement sparked widespread celebrations among fans across France, the festivities were marred by incidents of violence, vandalism, and arson in several cities.

Thousands of supporters took to the streets in Paris and other parts of the country to celebrate the historic triumph. However, in some areas, the celebrations quickly escalated into disorder, with reports of vehicles being set on fire and public property being damaged. Several shops and commercial establishments also suffered losses as windows were smashed and acts of vandalism were reported.

According to French authorities, police and security forces were deployed in large numbers to maintain law and order as crowds gathered in major cities. Despite the heightened security arrangements, clashes and disturbances were reported in certain locations, prompting law enforcement agencies to intervene.

Officials confirmed that 416 people were arrested in connection with the unrest and violent incidents that occurred during the celebrations. Seven security personnel were injured while carrying out crowd-control operations. The injured officers received medical attention, and authorities said their conditions were stable.

The French administration has appealed to citizens to celebrate responsibly and respect public property. Authorities emphasized that while sporting victories are a source of national pride and joy, any attempt to disrupt public order or engage in criminal activity will be dealt with firmly under the law.

Investigations into the incidents are currently underway. Police are reviewing CCTV footage and other evidence to identify individuals involved in acts of vandalism, arson, and violence. Additional security measures have also been implemented in sensitive areas to prevent further disturbances.

While PSG’s historic achievement has been widely celebrated by football fans, the violent incidents that accompanied the celebrations have drawn concern from authorities. The focus now remains on restoring normalcy and ensuring accountability for those responsible for the unrest.
