Says, Over 2.58CR people avail treartment at 881 Aam Aadmi Clinics

Intending to impart world-class health services to the people of Punjab, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann has been walking extra miles to bolster the primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare facilities in the state.

 Punjab cabinet minister Dr Balbir Singh said that the ambitious project ‘Aam Aadmi Clinics’ initiated by the CM Bhagwant Singh Mann-led Punjab government for strengthening and transforming primary healthcare in the state has been a huge success as over 2.58CR (1.08 cr unique patients/ 1.5CR revisits) people have availed free treatment at these clinics.

Pertinently, CM had dedicated 75 Aam Aadmi Clinics to the people of the state to mark the 75th Independence Day, which has now increased 881. Out of these 881 AACs, 316 AACs are located in the urban areas while 565 are located in the rural areas of the State.

He informed that as many as 80 types of medicines and 38 types of diagnostics tests are available for the patients at Aam Aadmi Clinics free of cost. These clinics have contributed in reducing the out of pocket expenditure on health care of people of state by whopping amount of Rs 1200 crore.
