Punjab Govt Organizes One-Day Training Session on eDAR Software Implementation in Chandigarh

eDAR will Ensure Efficient Accident Reporting, Faster Claims and Better Public Safety, says Jaspreet Singh

In a bid to reduce road accidents and improve accident reporting and claim settlements, a one-day training session was conducted at MGSIPA in Chandigarh to ensure the implementation of the eDAR (Electronic Detailed Accident Report) software in the state of Punjab. This session was jointly organized under the guidence of Transport Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar by NIC and the Transport Department, Punjab, as per the guidelines of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.

Dignitaries attending the event included STC Jaspreet Singh, ASTC Sukhwinder Kumar, State Head NIC Punjab Vivek Verma, CGM NIC Delhi Jatinder Kumar, NIC Punjab Narinder Singh, NIC official Pawan Gupta and DGM General Insurance Council of India Madam Vasundra. Des Raj, Joint Director, Lead Agency on Road Safety and  Ganesh Kumar, DSP Headquarters.

Divulging in this regard, STC informed that the training session featured a detailed presentation on the eDAR system by experts from NIC.
