C-PYTE and ASSOCHAM organize Conclave on Skill Development for the Aerospace & Defence and MSME Sector

With an aim to make the state a leader in the defence industry and create a conducive environment for long-term growth and sustainability, Punjab Government will bring a comprehensive policy for skill development in the Aerospace & Defence (A&D).
Cabinet Minister Aman Arora disclosed this while addressing a Conclave on Skill Development for the Aerospace & Defence (A&D) and MSME Sector organized by the Centre for Training and Employment of Punjab Youth (C-PYTE) with the help of ASSOCHAM Northern Region, here on Friday.
Arora directed the Principal Secretary EGSDT Jaspreet Talwar and Director General C-PYTE Major General Rambir Mann to form a group of all stakeholders to draft a policy for skill development within the Aerospace & Defence (A&D) and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sectors. He said that most private industry jobs in aerospace are in civil aviation, general aviation, military aircraft and missiles, communication satellites and military and commercial launch vehicles. The state’s upcoming policy would exploit these sectors to provide maximum job opportunities for youth of the state.
