Metro construction should not cause any inconvenience to citizens- Minister

Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister, Rao Narbir Singh directed the GMDA officers to ensure that the proposed metro expansion between Millennium City Center to Railway Station, Sector-22 and Cyber City in Gurugram causes minimal disruption to the public and existing services.
Narbir Singh said this while giving necessary directions during an inspection of the proposed metro expansion route with officers of Gurugram Metro Rail Limited (GMRL) and GMDA. The Minister emphasised on DPR being prepared with a special emphasis on public convenience.
After inspecting the route, he directed officers to expedite the construction work while ensuring public convenience a priority. He said that the need for a well-planned traffic diversion strategy to ensure smooth traffic flow during construction.
Rao Narbir Singh directed that during the project essential services, such as the drainage system, electricity, water supply, and sewage, should remain unaffected. If any problems arise the necessary redressal measures should be completed before starting metro construction work .
