Sandeep Pathak raises issues of Delhi and Punjab including arrest of Kejriwal in Parliament

After imposition of Model Code of Conduct, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal was arrested; if this is not an emergency then what is?
Punjab Newsline, New Delhi, July 2-
In a scathing parliamentary address, AAP's Rajya Sabha MP and National General Secretary (Organisation) Dr. Sandeep Pathak lambasted the government's lack of vision and direction, highlighting critical issues in Delhi and Punjab, including the illegal arrest of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. Boycotting the President's address deeming it as hollow and aimless, the AAP Rajya Sabha MP denounced the government's focus on trivialities like ‘Gud’ (jaggery), ‘Gobar’ (cow dung), and buffaloes over the past decade, asserting that such matters are unworthy of the Prime Minister's discourse.
Pathak said that the last 10 years of Modi government's tenure is full of anger, hatred and arrogance. So much arrogance is not good for anyone. The tree of arrogance bears only the fruit of destruction. Due to this arrogance, it did not take much time for them to come down from 300 seats to 240 seats. India is called a great country today because of democracy. Elections are the biggest basis of democracy but today efforts are being made to destroy the electoral process itself. If you do not maintain impartiality within the Election Commission of India, then how will you be able to conduct fair elections? If there is no restriction on the money spent in elections, then how will the common people of the country contest elections?
Speaking on electoral bonds, the AAP National General Secretary (Organisation) continued, stating, “These people (BJP) brought electoral bonds, 55% of the donations in electoral bonds are given to BJP. There are 33 loss-making companies that gave 75% of their total electoral bond money to BJP. Who is responsible for this donation that went to BJP? The Supreme Court had said that electoral bonds are unconstitutional. On this, the government said that we will revive it. You revive every order of the Supreme Court and overturn every order by making a law. Where is democracy in this? Today there is a selective emergency in the country. After losing the elections, the BJP formed its government in 11 states through horse-trading. This includes 11 states including Bihar, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Arunachal Pradesh. If this is not an emergency, then what is it?”
Dr. Sandeep Pathak, speaking on the illegal arrest of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, said “Earlier, jails had no role in elections. After the imposition of Model Code of Conduct in elections, CM Arvind Kejriwal, who is an elected Chief Minister, was sent to jail. He is arrested after the imposition of the Model Code of Conduct. You do not have the courage to contest elections openly. You first misuse the ED and CBI, and if that does not work, then you try to buy and threaten the government. If that also does not work, then you put a Chief Minister in jail. If this is not a selective emergency, then what is it?”
