Shiromani Akali Dal's rebel faction of the party held a meeting today. Earlier, Shiad held a meeting with the party leaders at the party headquarters in Chandigarh. Daljit Singh Cheema and Balwinder Bhudar were specially present in this meeting. While the meeting of the rebel group took place somewhere else. Prof. Prem Singh Chandumajra, Jagir Kaur, Sikandar Singh Maluka, Gur Pratap Singh Badala, Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa and Charanjit Singh Brar were present. While talking to reporters, the leaders of the rebel faction said that they will lead a reform wave in the Akali Dal.
According to the information, Gur Pratap Badala will be appointed as its coordinator and another committee will be formed, in which decisions will be taken with the consent of all. It was decided in the meeting that 100 years of Gurcharan Singh Tohra will be celebrated on September 24. On this occasion Prof. Prem Singh Chandumajra said that Akali Dal will be strengthened and for this Sukhbir Badal should resign.
