CM directs to complete its work in stipulated time
Letter of Award handed over to the Company

To start the work of the passenger ropeway at Mata Shree Chintpurni temple at the earliest, a 'Letter of Award' for the development of the project was handed over to Managing Director of M/s Sky Himalayas Ropeways Private Ltd Amitabh Sharma by Director Ropeways and Rapid Transport System Development Corporation Ltd. Himachal Pradesh, Ajay Sharma at Dharamsala today. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu was also present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister said that the 1.1 kilometer aerial ropeway would be constructed with an outlay of Rs. 76.50 crore. This modern transportation system would facilitate 700 passengers per hour in each direction, significantly enhancing the overall pilgrim experience and will also provide direct and indirect employment to the youth of the area as well.
The Chintpurni Temple in district Una is of immense historical and spiritual significance and was recognized as one of the most sacred Shaktipeeth of Himachal Pradesh, stated the Chief Minister. This ropeway will not only help in easing congestion but would ensure a passable and safe movement of the devotees. He directed the company to complete this project in a time bound manner so that pilgrims as well as the local populace could enjoy the facility.

Tourism Development Corporation, Raghubir Singh Bali, Chief Parliamentary Secretaries Kishori Lal and Sanjay Awasthi, MLAs Kewal Singh Pathania, Sanjay Rattan, Sudarshan Babloo, Vinod Sultanpuri, ID Lakhanpal, Chaitanya Sharma, Malender Rajan, Chairman cum Managing Director Ropeways and Rapid Transport System Development Corporation Sanjay Gupta, Principal Secretary Transport R.D. Nazeem, Chief General Manager RTDC Er. Rohit Thakur and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
