Signs of State’s economic improvement: Chief Minister

CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today laid the foundation stone of the Veer Shiromani Maharana Pratap Memorial Building in the Shahpur Assembly Constituency.

On this occasion, he stated that the Congress government is a government of the common people. “We are making policy changes to ensure good governance. Change comes with challenges, but we are facing every challenge with determination,” he said. The Chief Minister said that world- class infrastructure is being developed for students in rural areas to prepare them for future challenges. A Rajiv Gandhi Day Boarding School will also be established in the Shahpur Assembly Constituency shortly.
He further stated that the state government is improving not only education but also the health sector. Over the past two years, by curbing corruption, the government has generated additional revenue of Rs. 2,600 crore, which is being used for welfare schemes of the people. 

Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania remarked that Maharana Pratap was a protector of all communities. He also announced a contribution of Rs. 10 lakh for the construction of the Maharana Pratap Memorial Building and acknowledged the contribution of the Rajput Kalyan Sabha in social welfare.
