Punjab Newsline, Chandigarh–
Haryana's cabinet minister Anil Vij has written a letter to the CM Flying Squad for an investigation into the posts of Chief Electrical Inspector (CEI) in the Energy Department and Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI) in the Transport Department, stating that there is a lot of corruption and malpractice associated with these positions.
While interacting with media persons today, Vij said that ever since he took charge of these departments, he has been receiving daily recommendations for transfers to the posts of CEI in the Energy Department and MVI in the Transport Department. People were constantly requesting appointments to these posts. Upon investigation, it was found that there is massive corruption in both these posts, which is why he has written to the Chief Minister’s Flying Squad to conduct raids.
Responding sarcastically to a question regarding former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav’s claim that “the two Gujaratis (Modi and Shah) are jointly snatching away the rights of 80 million Biharis and that they have a deep hatred for Bihar’s Constitution and democracy,” Anil Vij questioned when Lalu Ji will move beyond regionalism. He said that “Has Bihar become your personal property?” Sh.Vij emphasized that every citizen has the equal right to contest elections in any state as per Section 19 of the Constitution, which grants the right to equality. He added that Lalu Ji is now making such remarks out of fear. Mocking him in a humorous tone, Vij said that “Lalu Ji is scared of our PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.”
Responding to Congress leader Randeep Surjewala’s accusation that the BJP government is corrupt and has devastated farming and farmers, Energy Minister Anil Vij hit back and said that Surjewala only sees black and darkness everywhere. Vij said the current government is providing electricity to farmers, and Haryana’s ministers have met the Union Minister to secure more fertilizer than the state’s quota.
