Over 44 lakh students participated in the competition, spreading the message of road safety

The All Haryana Road Safety Quiz Competition-2024 was successfully organized in all schools and colleges across the state with the aim of inculcating a culture of road safety among children. Over 44 lakh students participated in the competition, setting a record and spreading the message of road safety.
Director General of Police, Shatrujeet Kapur said that students are the most powerful medium to create awareness about road safety and traffic rules. He said that students in schools and colleges are the best teachers. Through this quiz competition, students will not only be aware of road safety themselves but will also share important information about following traffic rules with their parents. He said that road safety is a serious issue and due to lack of information about safe driving, people often become victims of road accidents. He said that road safety depends on three factors: driver, vehicle, and road quality, and the role of the driver is the most important out of these.
