The Haryana Government has decided to commemorate Constitution Day on November 26 with year-long celebrations, marking the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Indian Constitution. A state-level function will be organised in Kurukshetra on November 26 to celebrate the Constitution Day. Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini will be the Chief Guest on the occasion.
In this regard, Haryana Chief Secretary Dr. Vivek Joshi chaired a meeting with concerned Deputy Commissioners, Vice Chancellors and senior officials of universities via videoconferencing today and directed them to organise events on November 26 to celebrate the Constitution Day. Highlighting the significance of this historic milestone, Dr. Vivek Joshi said the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution is a fitting occasion to honour and acknowledge the contributions of the founding fathers of our Constitution. The commemoration aims to reiterate the core values enshrined in the Constitution of India and inspire citizens to play their rightful role in strengthening democracy, he added.
The Deputy Commissioners and Vice Chancellors informed the meeting that various events like quiz competitions, debates, poster-making contests, guest lectures, film screenings, wall paintings on Preamble etc. have been planned to celebrate the Constitution Day.
