Punjab Newsline, Chandigarh, November 23-
Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatraya on Saturday chaired a review meeting with regard to preparations for the upcoming International Gita Mahotsav, scheduled to be held from November 28th to December 15th, 2024 at Kurukshetra, in the august presence of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. Odisha is the partner state for the mega spiritual annual event, while the United Republic of Tanzania is the partner country.
Dattatraya stressed the need for making more efforts to make International Gita Mahotsav a social event. “Slowly and steadily, the International Gita Mahotsav should become a social event where the state government plays a supportive role, and everything related to the Mahotsav is managed by different stakeholders in the society,” he said.
The Governor said prominent spiritual personalities from across the country should also be invited to the International Gita Mahotsav. The southern states of India are not much aware of this grand spiritual event. “By hosting eminent religious personalities and making optimal utilization of digital platforms, we can further expand the reach of the event,” he said.
