Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal has launched a sharp attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) amid speculation over a possible political alliance between the two parties in Punjab.

In a sarcastic post on social media platform X, Kejriwal referred to the BJP as the "ED Party" and the Shiromani Akali Dal as the "Beadbi Party/Chitta Party," taking a swipe at reports suggesting that the two parties could reunite politically.

For the past several days, Kejriwal and the AAP have been referring to the BJP as the "ED Party," accusing the Centre of allegedly misusing the Enforcement Directorate (ED) against political opponents. In his post, Kejriwal also used the terms "Beadbi Party" and "Chitta Party" for the Akali Dal, linking the party to allegations over sacrilege incidents and the drug menace in Punjab.

In his post, Kejriwal wrote that the "ED Party" is desperate to form an alliance with the "Beadbi Party/Chitta Party," but the latter is not giving it any attention. He further remarked that the most ironic aspect would be if the BJP contests elections on the issue of drugs while being allied with the "Chitta Party."

Political speculation over the revival of the long-standing BJP–Shiromani Akali Dal alliance has intensified in recent weeks. However, neither party has made any official announcement regarding a possible reunion so far.
