Election Schedule Released by the Returning Officer

Nomination forms can be obtained from the Haryana Vidhan Sabha Secretariat

A bye-election schedule has been released for the election of one member to the Rajya Sabha from Haryana. Nomination forms can be obtained from the Haryana Vidhan Sabha Secretariat, from Assistant Returning Officer and Deputy Secretary, Gaurav Goyal.

Giving more information in this regard, Dr. Saket Kumar, MD of UHBVN and Returning Officer for the Rajya Sabha bye-election 2024, stated that the bye-election schedule has been declared. He mentioned that this seat became vacant following the election to the 18th Lok Sabha. He further informed that nominations can be submitted by any candidate or their proposer on any working day (excluding holidays) until August 21, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, at the Haryana Vidhan Sabha Secretariat in Sector-1, Chandigarh, to the Returning Officer or Assistant Returning Officer.

He also mentioned that the scrutiny of nomination papers will be conducted on August 22 at 10:00 AM. Candidates can withdraw their nominations until August 27. If required, voting will take place on September 3, 2024, at the Haryana Vidhan Sabha Secretariat from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
