Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will embark on a four-day ‘Shukrana Yatra’ from May 6 to May 9, 2026, to express gratitude to the Sikh community after the passage of the Jaagat Jot Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar (Amendment) Act, 2026.

The yatra aims to thank the sangat (devotees) and will include visits to key Sikh Shrines sites across the state, along with public interactions.

The journey will commence on May 6 from Anandpur Sahib at Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, where the Chief Minister will offer ardas. He will then proceed to Amritsar to pay obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib. The first day is dedicated to spiritual devotion, setting the tone for the journey.

On May 7, Mann will visit Talwandi Sabo and bow at Takht Sri Damdama Sahib, followed by a stop in Faridkot, where he is expected to address local residents and interact with the sangat. Local MLA Gurdit Singh Sekhon said arrangements are being made to welcome the Chief Minister.

On May 8, the yatra will reach Mastuana Sahib before heading to Patiala. Events are scheduled at Gurdwara Sri Dukh Nivaran Sahib on May 8 and 9, where Mann will offer prayers and meet people.

The yatra will conclude on May 9 at Fatehgarh Sahib, a site of great historical significance, where the Chief Minister will perform the final ardas.

Authorities have made elaborate security and traffic arrangements along the route, with advisories likely to be issued to ensure smooth movement during the journey.
