Passengers travelling by train in and around Delhi over the weekend should check their train status before leaving home, as the Railways has announced changes to the operation of several trains in view of the BRICS Summit.
BRICS Summit is scheduled to be held at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi on September 12 and 13. In view of heightened security arrangements, several trains have been cancelled, while some have been diverted or short-terminated between September 11 and 13.
The changes are particularly important for daily commuters who rely on local and EMU trains for work, school or college travel.
