After being removed from OTT platforms, Punjabi film 'Satluj', starring Diljit Dosanjh, is now being screened free of cost at gurdwaras across Punjab.

Film is inspired by the life of human rights activist Jaswant Khalra, who investigated alleged fake encounters during Punjab's militancy era in the 1990s and claimed that around 25,000 youths were killed in extrajudicial executions.

The community screening campaign has already begun in Gurdaspur, where the film was shown at a gurdwara in Manchopra village after an announcement inviting local residents. Similar screenings have also taken place at a gurdwara in Moga.

The initiative is now expanding to Pathankot, where screenings have been announced for Wednesday and Thursday at Gurdwara Singh Sabha, Model Town, and Gurdwara Singh Sabha Central, Ranipur.

Inderpal Singh Bains, Punjab Youth President of the Bharatiya Kisan Union, said the film will be taken to more districts and villages across Punjab to ensure that as many people as possible can watch it.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) has also announced plans to organize screenings of the film in schools and colleges.
