United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has declared another Indian national, 30-year-old Amritpal Singh, wanted in connection with an international drug trafficking investigation. According to the FBI, Singh is allegedly associated with the Dhanda Organized Crime Group and is suspected of being part of a transnational narcotics trafficking network.

The FBI has released identifying details, stating that Amritpal Singh is approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs around 61 kilograms.

Alleged links to Dhanda Organized Crime Group

According to the agency, the Dhanda Organized Crime Group was allegedly operated from Vancouver, Canada. Investigators claim the network supplied large quantities of cocaine and methamphetamine to drug trafficking operations active in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The FBI alleges that the organization was involved in cross-border narcotics trafficking and related criminal activities across North America.

Focus on Punjab-linked organized crime networks

Authorities in India, Canada, and the United States have intensified action against organized crime networks allegedly linked to Punjab in recent years. Several cases involving individuals associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang have also seen continued cooperation and intelligence sharing between foreign investigative agencies and Indian security authorities.

Investigators have increasingly reported cases in which Punjab-linked gangsters allegedly operated from abroad while coordinating extortion, narcotics trafficking, and violent crimes through international networks.

Crackdown intensified after Punjab police officer’s killing

The crackdown on North America-based gangster networks reportedly gained further momentum after the killing of Punjab Police Inspector Gurpreet Singh in Nangal.

Following that incident, investigators examined the possible role of foreign-based gangsters and their associates in multiple criminal cases. Indian agencies subsequently expanded coordination with law enforcement authorities in the United States, Canada, and other countries.

Investigation and legal process ongoing

FBI’s latest action is being viewed as part of the broader international campaign against organized crime and transnational drug trafficking networks. However, the allegations made by the agency remain subject to investigation and judicial proceedings, and any final determination will depend on the outcome of court hearings and the legal process.
