Five members of a family, including a husband, wife and their three children, died under mysterious circumstances in Nagla Shri Padam village in the Rabupura area of Greater Noida on Saturday. Preliminary investigations have raised suspicion of food poisoning, as the family reportedly consumed noodles on Friday night. However, police have not yet confirmed the cause of death.

According to Greater Noida DCP Shravan Kumar Singh, the Rabupura police station received information on Saturday morning that five members of a family residing in Nagla Shri Padam village had died. Senior police officials, along with local police personnel, immediately reached the spot. An ambulance and a team from the Food Safety Department were also called to the scene.

The deceased have been identified as Mahesh (37), son of Krishna; his wife Lalita (35); their son Laddu (11); daughter Mishti (7); and their three-year-old son Sakshat. All five were residents of Nagla Shri Padam village.

Police initiated the inquest proceedings, and the bodies were being sent for post-mortem examinations. During preliminary inquiries, local residents and Mahesh's mother reportedly told investigators that the family had eaten noodles on Friday night. This information led to the initial suspicion of food poisoning.

However, officials have stressed that no conclusion can be reached until the post-mortem reports and other scientific findings are available.

The Food Safety Department team has been collecting evidence related to the food consumed by the family, while the forensic team conducted a detailed inspection of the scene and gathered scientific evidence.

According to police officials, the exact cause of death will be established after examining the post-mortem reports, forensic findings and food sample analysis. Further legal action will be taken once the cause of death is confirmed.
