CM Nayab Singh Saini said that it is a matter of pride for Haryana that its athletes have made India proud globally. As a result of the present state government's sports policy, two athletes from Haryana won medals at the Paris Olympics, making a mark on the world stage. He congratulated and wished them well.
Saini was today interacting with the journalists at New Delhi Railway Station after travelling by train from Chandigarh to Delhi. He said that our brave athletes have excelled and brought honour to Haryana.
Saini stated that since 2014, under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, programmes like ‘Khelo India’ have been organised, yielding positive results. Our athletes are performing well in international competitions, bringing honour to the state and the country.The government is working hard to prepare these young athletes and provide them with a platform, the Chief Minister added.
