Haryana govt committed towards women empowerment : Aseem Goyal

Punjab Newsline, Chandigarh, July 22 –
Haryana Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Aseem Goyal said that the state government is committed to women empowerment and numerous welfare schemes designed to support women.

Goyal was speaking as Chief Guest at a program held in Nariangarh in Ambala district after honoring women who have achieved distinction in various fields. The CM’s wife, Suman Saini, attended as the special guest. 

The Minister encouraged women to take advantage of government schemes, specifically addressing the district-level sensitization program for beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana and Chief Minister Matru Sahayata Yojana. He explained that under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, the Government of India provides financial incentives to compensate for wage loss, allowing pregnant and lactating women from low-income backgrounds to refrain from work during pregnancy provided the second child is girl. Benefits include Rs. 5000 in two installments for the first child and Rs. 6000 in a single installment for the second child (girl).

Suman Saini emphasized in her address that the govt prioritizes the advancement of women. She acknowledged that Haryana’s women are significantly contributing to the progress of both society and the state through their remarkable work across various fields.
