Haryana CEO Pankaj Aggarwal said that the notification for the Haryana Legislative Assembly general elections will be issued on September 5, 2024, and the nomination process will begin on the same day.
The CEO said that candidates can submit their nomination papers until September 12, 2024. The nomination papers will be scrutinised on September 13, 2024, and candidates may withdraw their nominations until September 16, 2024. Voting will take place on October 5, 2024, with the vote counting scheduled for October 8, 2024.
He informed that during the nomination process, candidates are permitted to bring a maximum of four people to the office of the Returning Officer (RO) or Assistant Returning Officer (ARO). In addition, no more than three vehicles are allowed within 100 meters of the RO/ARO office. Mr. Pankaj Aggarwal also stated that candidates can submit their nomination papers at the office of the concerned RO/ARO between 11 am and 3 pm.
He said that the Returning Officer (RO) and Assistant Returning Officer (ARO) should display nomination-related information on notice boards in their offices and other government offices frequented by the public on the morning of September 5th.
