Himachal : Gangster Involved in Cow Slaughter Arrested in Police Encounter

Himachal Pradesh Police and Uttarakhand Police, in a joint operation, have successfully apprehended a notorious gangster involved in cow slaughter. The accused, identified as Ehsan, son of Buddhu alias Filter, a 22-year-old resident of village Gandevda, Fatehpur police station, district Saharanpur, was arrested after an encounter near the Paonta Sahib-Uttarakhand border.
The arrest took place in the early hours of Wednesday in the Sahaspur area near Timli Dharmwala. The accused was traveling on a motorcycle when he was stopped at a police checkpoint. However, instead of stopping, he attempted to escape, leading to a chase by the police teams. During the pursuit, the accused opened fire on the police in the Timli forest area. In response, the police returned fire, injuring him in the leg. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital in Vikasnagar for medical treatment.
Ehsan is a notorious cattle smuggler from Saharanpur and had a reward of 15,000 on his head in connection with a case registered at Clement Town police station. He was also wanted in multiple cases in Kurukshetra.
