Joint Operation by HP and Uttrakhand Police Leads to Arrest of 10 Accused in Illegal Cattle Slaughter Case

In a joint operation, the Himachal Pradesh Police and Uttarakhand Police successfully apprehended 10 individuals involved in illegal cattle slaughter within 24 hours of the incident. The operation was conducted in response to the discovery of cattle remains along the Dhali Pur River on March 31, 2025, which led to tensions in the border areas of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
In a joint press conference, SP Sirmaur Nishchint Negi and SSP Dehradun Ajai Singh, IPS informed media personnel about the operation and the arrests.
Following intelligence inputs and CCTV surveillance, eight suspects were arrested from the Sahaspur region by Uttarakhand Police, while two others were apprehended by HP Police from the Puruwala area. The accused have been identified as Naushad (30), Gulbahar (38), Naushad (35), Musharraf alias Kala (50), Sameer (19), Shahrukh (26), Sadiq (20), Tauseef (21) all resident of Kushalpur, Sahaspur and Shahnawaz (40) and Irshad (60) both resident of Manpur Dewra, Tehsil Paonta Sahib, District Sirmaur.
