Himmat Singh Sworn in as New Chairman of HSSC

Haryana CM Nayab Singh, administered the oath of office to Himmat Singh, the new Chairman of the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC), at a swearing-in ceremony held at Haryana Niwas today.
Himmat Singh took the oath of allegiance, office, and secrecy in the presence of the Chief Minister. He pledged to uphold the dignity of the Commission and ensure that transparency and merit-based selection remain his top priorities. Before his appointment as HSSC Chairman, Sh. Himmat Singh served as Additional Advocate General, Haryana.
CM Nayab Singh congratulated Himmat Singh and expressed hope that he would discharge his new responsibilities with full dedication and meet the aspirations of the state's youth. He highlighted that during the last nine-and-a-half years, the youth have shown full faith in the transparent and merit-based recruitment process of the present State Government and its other welfare policies. He emphasized that Haryana is the only state government that has provided jobs to youth purely on merit without "Kharchi-Parchi" (bribery and favoritism).
The ceremony was attended by several senior officers including Chief Secretary TVSN Prasad, Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Rajesh Khullar, Additional Chief Secretary Finance Anurag Rastogi, Additional Chief Secretary Health and Family Welfare Sudhir Rajpal, Additional Chief Secretary Public Health Engineering A.K Singh, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Umashankar, Director General of Police Shatrujeet Kapur, Principal Secretary Human Resources Department D Suresh, Managing Director, Haryana Power Generation Corporation Mohammed Shayin, Director General, Information, Public Relations, Languages and Culture Department Mandip Singh Brar, Principal Secretary Transport Navdeep Singh Virk, Chairman, Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) Alok Verma, former Chairman of HSSC Bhopal Singh Khadri and other senior officers of the State Government
