In a shocking incident, Parminder Tiwari, the Congress Block President from Ludhiana, was brutally murdered in the village of Takhran on Sunday evening.
According to reports, the incident occurred around 6:30 PM when Tiwari was sitting on a chair outside his quarters near the local bus stand. At that time, two unidentified assailants approached him from behind and attacked him with an axe. He was struck three times on the head, resulting in severe injuries that caused him to collapse on the spot.
Eyewitness accounts suggest the attack was extremely violent, with the victim suffering critical head trauma. After carrying out the assault, the accused fled the scene, leaving the weapon behind.
Shortly after the incident, Tiwari’s son reached the spot and found him lying in a pool of blood. He was immediately rushed to the Civil Hospital in Machhiwara. Due to the severity of his condition, doctors referred him to Fortis Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
Police from the Kum Kalan police station reached the scene upon receiving information and have begun an investigation. Officials confirmed that two unidentified individuals were involved in the attack, and efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the accused.
The motive behind the murder is yet to be ascertained, and further investigation is ongoing.
