Punjabnewsline, Chandigarh:

Ravneet Singh Bittu, who recently became the Union Minister of State in the Modi cabinet, has given a big statement regarding the release of imprisoned Sikhs. He says that he will not oppose the release of imprisoned Sikhs. Bittu has also said that if the central government has any plan to release imprisoned Sikhs, then I will not go against this decision of the government. Remember that Bittu has opposed the release of imprisoned Sikhs till now. Big questions are being raised after this statement of Bittu.

It is worth noting that the Hawara Committee was afraid that after Bittu became a minister at the center, the matter of release of imprisoned Sikhs would be put on hold. When Bittu was a Lok Sabha member from Congress, he used to oppose the release of imprisoned Sikhs.
