The National Testing Agency has officially announced the new date for the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination. The medical entrance test will now be conducted across the country on June 21, 2026. Earlier, the exam was held on May 3, but it came under controversy following allegations of a paper leak.

The investigation into the alleged irregularities has now been handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation. The NTA had earlier assured candidates that a revised examination schedule would be released soon and clarified that students would not be required to pay the examination fee again.

NEET-UG is one of India’s biggest entrance examinations and is conducted for admission to undergraduate medical courses across the country.

While announcing the revised schedule, the NTA said that after receiving approval from the central government, it has decided to conduct the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination on Sunday, June 21, 2026. The agency also appealed to students and parents to trust only official NTA communication platforms for authentic updates regarding the examination.
