Forests of 1.15 million hectares area of four states including Haryana will be saved

Green wall project will be built in Aravali on the lines of Saudi Arabia

Haryana's Forest and Environment Minister Rao Narbir Singh said that to increase environmental balance, PM Narendra Modi's initiative to connect people with the environment by starting Mission Live Environment for Lifestyle and Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam program is welcome. In this series, Aravali Green Wall Project will be built on the lines of Saudi Arabia to increase greenery in Haryana's Aravali region.

After a five-day visit to Saudi Arabia, Rao Narbir said that Saudi Arabia is a desert country but the greenery has been increased in a very attractive way by developing green belts there. Keeping this in mind, the Government of India has entrusted Haryana with the responsibility of preparing the Aravali Green Wall Project.

He said the reclamation of over 1.15 million hectares of land in four states, including Haryana, Rajasthan , Gujarat and Delhi , under the Aravalli Green Wall Project is aimed at showcasing an exemplary model of multi-state collaboration.
