Three motorcycle riders killed on the spot after being hit by a speeding Scorpio, accused driver flees
A tragic road accident in Fatehgarh Sahib late Saturday night created panic and grief in the area after three people lost their lives in a collision involving a speeding Scorpio vehicle. The victims were returning home on a motorcycle when the SUV allegedly hit them from behind near Hindupur village. The impact of the collision was so severe that all three riders died on the spot, while the Scorpio driver fled the scene along with the vehicle.
According to reports, the accident took place near Hindupur village in Fatehgarh Sahib district. The deceased were returning to their native village Bibipur after finishing work late at night. Eyewitnesses said the speeding Scorpio suddenly rammed into the motorcycle, throwing the riders onto the road and leaving them critically injured. Local residents rushed to help and informed the police, but the victims had already succumbed to their injuries before any medical assistance could arrive.
The deceased have been identified as Avtar Singh, Satvinder Singh and Mohan Singh, all residents of Bibipur village. Police officials said the three men were between 45 and 55 years of age. All of them were married and had children. The incident has left the families devastated, and a wave of mourning has spread across the village.
ASI Ram Singh from Badali Ala Singh police station said that a case has been registered against the unidentified Scorpio driver. Police teams have started investigating the matter and are examining CCTV footage from nearby areas to trace the accused vehicle. Officials stated that efforts are underway to identify and arrest the driver responsible for the fatal accident.
The tragic incident has triggered anger among local residents, who have demanded strict action against the accused. Villagers urged the administration to ensure speedy justice for the bereaved families and take concrete steps to curb reckless driving incidents in the region.
