Giving priority to women’s health and preventive healthcare, a special health screening camp was organized at Park No. 32, MIG Super, Sector-70, under Ward No. 34. The camp was jointly organized by Sohana Hospital, Councillor Sukhdev Singh Patwari, and the MIG Super Residents Welfare Association. A large number of women and local residents participated and availed themselves of the healthcare services provided during the event.

The initiative, taken by the Association’s Finance Secretary Mrs. Gurpreet Kaur Bhullar, focused on promoting health awareness and early detection of diseases. The camp offered mammography screening, bone density testing, blood pressure checks, and blood sugar screening free of cost. During the camp, mammography tests were conducted for 39 women, while 120 residents underwent bone density examinations. In addition, more than 70 people had their blood pressure and blood sugar levels checked.

Expert doctors and medical staff present at the camp educated women about breast cancer awareness, the importance of early diagnosis, osteoporosis prevention, and other health-related concerns. Health professionals emphasized that timely screening and regular check-ups play a crucial role in identifying serious illnesses at an early stage, significantly improving treatment outcomes.

Speaking on the occasion, Councillor Sukhdev Singh Patwari said that women’s health forms the foundation of a healthy society. He highlighted the importance of organizing such healthcare initiatives regularly so that residents can access quality medical services close to their homes. He assured that similar public welfare and health awareness programs would continue in the future for the benefit of the community.

Patwari also expressed gratitude to Sohana Hospital and the MIG Super Residents Welfare Association for their support in making the camp a success. He noted that their collaboration enabled women, senior citizens, and other residents of the area to receive specialist healthcare services without having to travel far.

Several prominent members of the community, including Association President Ramesh Prakash Kamboj, R.K. Gupta, Harpreet Singh, Kamaljit Kaur, Sandeep Kaur Kang, Gurpreet Kaur, Kamaldeep Simmi Bakshi, Khushvir Kaur, Nirupama Gupta, Beena Kamboj, and Surinder Kaur, were present on the occasion. Participants, especially women, appreciated the initiative and said that such health camps are the need of the hour as they help spread awareness and facilitate the early detection of diseases.
