Makers shift release date to avoid box-office clashes; Ajay Devgn-led cast promises full-on entertainment
Movie buffs will have to wait a little longer to enjoy the fourth instalment of the popular comedy franchise Dhamaal. The makers of Dhamaal 4 have once again postponed the film’s release, announcing a new date on Tuesday. The much-anticipated laughter ride will now arrive in cinemas on July 3 this year.
This marks the second delay in the release of Dhamaal 4. Initially, the film was scheduled to hit theatres on March 19. However, to avoid a box-office clash with two big-ticket releases—Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge and Yash’s Toxic—the makers shifted the release to June 12. Now, the release has been pushed further, with July considered a more favourable window for the comedy entertainer.
According to industry buzz, the decision to postpone the film again has been taken strategically, keeping audience footfall and competition at the box office in mind. The makers are confident that the new release date will give the film a better opportunity to connect with audiences and deliver strong numbers.
Directed by Indra Kumar, Dhamaal 4 retains the core cast that has been synonymous with the franchise’s success. Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Sanjay Mishra, and Jaaved Jaaferi are set to reunite once again, promising their trademark humour and comic chaos. Adding freshness to the ensemble, actors Esha Gupta, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Anjali Anand, Upendra Limaye, Vijay Patkar, and Ravi Kishan will also be seen playing key roles in the film.
The film is jointly produced by Ajay Devgn, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Ashok Thakeria, Indra Kumar, Anand Pandit, and Kumar Mangat Pathak. Dhamaal 4 is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series, in association with Devgn Films, T-Series Films, Maruti International, and Panorama Studios.
The Dhamaal franchise began in 2007 with the release of its first film, which went on to become a cult comedy. It was followed by Double Dhamaal in 2011 and Total Dhamaal in 2019. With Dhamaal 4, the makers aim to once again deliver a fun-filled entertainer packed with humour, confusion, and laughter for audiences of all ages.
