Cabinet Minister gives Rs. 21 lakh for the construction of Sainik Complex in Israna

Punjab Newsline, Chandigarh, December 1 –

Haryana cabinet minister Krishan Lal Panwar, on Sunday, attended a felicitation ceremony in Poothar village, Panipat district. The programme was organized in honor of Kargil Martyr Havildar Vijay.

 Addressing the villagers, Panwar said that martyrs are a source of inspiration for all of us, and their sacrifices should never be forgotten. He assured the villagers to set up an e-library and a main gate in the village after the name of martyr Vijay. The Cabinet Minister also laid the foundation stone for the Sainik Bhawan Complex, to be built in Balana village. He also gave Rs. 21 lakh from his discretionary fund for the complex.

The Minister said that every tenth soldier in the Indian Army is from Haryana, and the Central Government has honored soldiers by implementing the One Rank One Pension scheme. He emphasized that both the Central and State Governments respect martyrs and their families. He acknowledged that the freedom we enjoy today is a result of the sacrifices and dedication of martyrs to the nation.
