Director, MCH, Dr. Virender Yadav , while addressing the meeting said, Polio Sub-National immunization Day (SNlD) would be held in the selected parts of the country from 8th December 2024. It is a matter of huge pride that due to consistent hard work the country and Haryana continue to remain polio free since 2011, but it is pertinent to mention that 2 countries in Africa Malawi and Mozambique, have reported Poliovirus with linkages to Pakistan after more than 10 years of being Polio free, hence it is important to cover all eligible 0-5 years beneficiaries in upcoming SNID round on December 8, 2024.
