CM Mann Calls Faridkot Woman who cooked Langar for AAP Workers, Shares Gratitude in Video

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann spoke over the phone with a woman who had prepared langar at her home for party workers traveling from Faridkot’s village Hariye Wala to attend a rally in Fatehgarh Sahib. The Chief Minister also shared a video of the conversation on his social media account on Thursday.

According to information, Lakhbir Kaur, mother of Aam Aadmi Party sarpanch Chamkaur Singh from village Hariye wala, along with other women in her family, had prepared langar at home on March 28. The food was served to party workers attending a rally organized in Fatehgarh Sahib on the occasion of the inauguration of 109 Aam Aadmi Clinics.

The video of her service went viral on social media. After watching it, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann personally called the 68-year-old Lakhbir Kaur to thank her for her contribution and also promised to visit her home in the future to seek her blessings.

During the conversation, Lakhbir Kaur appreciated the Punjab government’s campaign against drug abuse and urged that it be continued more effectively to save youth falling prey to addiction.
