  • Petrol-Diesel Shortage Hits Hisar and Fatehabad

Punjab Newsline | Haryana

The rising tensions between the US, Israel, and Iran are now affecting petrol and diesel supplies in Haryana. Most petrol pumps in Hisar and Fatehabad are running low, and long queues were seen at several pumps in Fatehabad in the afternoon.

Pump operators say the situation may worsen if new supplies do not arrive by tonight. They also claim that company officials are not responding to calls, leaving them in the dark about deliveries.

Meanwhile, Nayara Energy has increased fuel prices. Petrol is now ₹100.06 per liter (up ₹5), and diesel is ₹90.64 per liter (up ₹3). Earlier, petrol was ₹95.06 and diesel ₹87.64 per liter. Sanjeev Chaudhary, State President of the Haryana Petroleum Association, said the situation is likely to change starting tomorrow.

In response, the Chief Minister’s Office announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet with Chief Ministers—including Haryana CM Nayab Saini—via video conference tomorrow at 6:30 PM to discuss the West Asia situation and its impact on India.
