The two-day air show organized by the Indian Air Force commenced today (27 March) at Sukhna Lake, drawing large crowds as the renowned Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team put on a breathtaking aerial display.
The skies above Chandigarh came alive with synchronized formations, colorful smoke trails, and precision flying, captivating spectators gathered around the lake and nearby areas.
Public Access Restricted, Traffic Curbs in Place
In preparation for the high-profile event, authorities have closed Sukhna Lake to the general public from March 26 until the afternoon of March 28. Strict security arrangements have been implemented to manage the large turnout.
The Chandigarh Traffic Police have enforced traffic restrictions on key routes around the venue. Vehicular movement in surrounding areas remains restricted daily from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM during the event.
Shuttle Service for Visitors
To facilitate smooth access, a dedicated shuttle bus service has been arranged. Visitors are required to reach designated pickup points and use these shuttle buses to travel to the venue, helping ease congestion and ensure safety.
The air show will continue on March 28, with more thrilling performances expected to attract aviation enthusiasts and residents alike.
