Gold and silver prices witnessed a sharp rise on Wednesday, April 22, in the domestic futures market, with both metals opening strong and continuing their upward momentum in early trading.
In the futures segment, gold prices surged by around ₹1,450 during early trade. As of the time of writing, gold futures for June 5, 2026 expiry were trading higher on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX).
Gold futures opened at ₹1,53,335 per 10 grams on MCX. In the previous trading session, gold had closed at ₹1,51,671 per 10 grams, reflecting a significant gain in today’s session.
Silver prices also recorded a strong rally, jumping by up to ₹4,000, mirroring the bullish trend seen in gold.
