Punjab is currently experiencing severe heat, with many areas facing water shortages, adding to residents difficulties. Frequent power cuts have further worsened the situation.

On Tuesday, Bathinda and Faridkot recorded temperatures of 41.6°C, while Jalandhar witnessed its highest temperature so far this season at 40.2°C. The minimum temperature was recorded at 19.6°C.

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Thursday and Friday, warning of heatwave conditions.
