Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh walked out of Sunaria Jail in Rohtak early Tuesday morning after being granted a 30-day parole. He left the jail around 6:30 am and reached the Sirsa-based dera at approximately 9:15 am amid tight security arrangements.

Ram Rahim, who is serving a life sentence in the sexual exploitation case involving two women disciples, arrived at the dera in a convoy of eight luxury vehicles, including Toyota Land Cruiser and Fortuner Legender SUVs. Authorities ensured his exit from jail took place early in the morning to prevent large gatherings outside the prison premises.

This marks the 16th parole or furlough granted to the Dera chief since his conviction in 2017. In the first five months of 2026 alone, this is the second time he has been released from jail. Earlier, he was granted a 40-day parole in January and returned to prison in February.

After his arrival at the Sirsa dera, police and local administration remained on alert. While the number of followers at the dera was low during the morning hours, officials expect the crowd to increase later in the day as supporters await Ram Rahim’s address and message to followers.
