As part of the series of events being organized by the Punjab Government to commemorate the 650th birth anniversary of Guru Ravidas Ji, a special seminar was held on Monday at CT University. The seminar aimed to connect the youth with the teachings of Guru Ravidas Ji—centered on equality, universal brotherhood, and social justice—and to inspire them to contribute toward building a more inclusive society.

Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia called upon the youth to follow the ideals of Guru Ravidas Ji and take the lead in eliminating social and economic inequalities. He emphasized that disparities still persist in various sectors, including education and the economy. Highlighting economic inequality, he pointed out that a significant portion of the country’s wealth remains concentrated in the hands of a small segment of the population, while a large section continues to struggle with limited resources. He stressed the urgent need for major reforms in the education system to secure the future of young generations.

Referring to the initiatives of the Punjab Government, he stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, consistent efforts are being made to spread the message and philosophy of Guru Ravidas Ji across the state. Various events are being organized throughout the year to mark the historic occasion. He also highlighted the government’s focus on strengthening the education and healthcare sectors to ensure better services for every citizen. On this occasion, he launched a missed-call campaign (9090029090) to encourage wider public participation.

Deepak Bali, Advisor to the Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, also addressed the gathering and said that such seminars serve as an effective platform to connect the youth with the life, teachings, and philosophy of Guru Ravidas Ji. He noted that these initiatives help young minds understand and question issues like inequality, discrimination, and social injustice.

Sant Keval Singh from Khuralgarh Sahib also present at the event and urged the youth to follow the path shown by Guru Ravidas Ji. He emphasized the importance of adopting the principles of equality and equal opportunities in everyday life.

Senior officials and representatives of CT University, along with administrative officers, were also present at the seminar.
