Punjab Newsline, Ludhiana / Punjab :

During a public gathering held in Sarabha Nagar, Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora presented the four-year report card of the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, highlighting the state’s remarkable achievements and rapid progress. He stated that Punjab is steadily moving towards becoming a leading state in India and the vision of “Rangla Punjab” is soon turning into reality.

Addressing the gathering, Arora said that Punjab has witnessed historic and unprecedented development over the past four years. He emphasized that such progress had never been imagined before and had not been seen in the last 70 years.

He further stated that the Government of India has ranked Punjab as the number one state in key sectors such as education, road safety, and ease of doing business. Calling it a landmark achievement in the state’s history, Arora credited Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s leadership for placing Punjab on the national map as a model of development.

Highlighting welfare initiatives, the Cabinet Minister said that every household in Punjab is receiving 300 units of free electricity per month. Additionally, 75 percent of farmers are now getting uninterrupted power supply during morning hours, which is expected to increase to 95 percent in the upcoming paddy season. He added that improvements in PSPCL services have led to better efficiency, reduced losses, and more reliable electricity supply.

In the healthcare sector, the Punjab government has launched a cashless health insurance scheme providing coverage of up to ₹10 lakh per citizen, making Punjab the first state in the country to implement such a comprehensive program.

Focusing on women empowerment, Arora announced that women in the state will soon start receiving monthly financial assistance ranging from ₹1000 to ₹1500 under a government scheme. He also stated that efforts are underway to make roads garbage-free and to develop world-class infrastructure across Punjab.

Expressing confidence, he said that with its strong focus on development, transparency, and public welfare, Punjab is on track to become the number one state in the country, turning the dream of “Rangla Punjab” into reality.
