A fresh Western Disturbance is set to become active over Punjab from Tuesday. Due to its impact, strong winds with speeds of 40–50 km/h are expected across the state for two days, accompanied by rainfall and possible hailstorms.
As a result, temperatures in the coming days are likely to drop by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius. During the past 24 hours, light to moderate rainfall was recorded at a few places in Punjab. However, overall weather conditions remained largely dry.
Meanwhile, the state’s maximum temperature recorded an increase of 1.6 degrees Celsius and is currently close to normal levels. The highest temperature of 33.4°C was recorded in Faridkot.
On the other hand, the minimum temperature saw a drop of 1.8 degrees Celsius and also remains near normal. The lowest temperature of 12.7°C was recorded in Pathankot.
