Several schools and government offices in Chandigarh received bomb threats once again on Monday. The institutions targeted include Shivalik School (Sector 41), St. Stephen’s (Sector 45), Ryan International School, as well as the Mayor’s office and the Secretariat. As in previous cases, the threat was sent via email. Police have launched an investigation.
The email mentioned the names of the Chief Ministers of Punjab and Haryana, along with Punjab’s DGP, and also included threats of grenade attacks. Police conducted search operations and evacuated employees from the premises. Fire brigade teams were also deployed as a precautionary measure.
Meanwhile, a bomb threat was also issued to the Mohali court, following which the court complex was evacuated. Police have set up barricades across the area and intensified search operations.
