Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema on Wednesday distributed appointment letters to newly recruited youth under the ongoing ‘Rozgar Kranti’ initiative spearheaded by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, reaffirming the state government’s commitment to employment generation.

At a formal ceremony, 11 candidates were inducted as Junior Auditors in the office of Examiner, Local Fund Accounts, strengthening the Finance Department with fresh talent selected through a transparent recruitment process.

Congratulating the newly appointed officials, Cheema emphasised the importance of integrity and responsibility in public service. He urged them to carry out their duties with dedication, transparency, and honesty, stating that integrity remains crucial for maintaining the financial health and accountability of public institutions.

Highlighting the credibility of the recruitment process, the Finance Minister said the entire exercise was conducted strictly on merit through the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC). He expressed confidence that the induction of qualified professionals would enhance efficiency and productivity in the Examiner, Local Fund Accounts wing.

Reaffirming the government’s focus on employment, Cheema said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government has provided secure jobs to over 65,000 youth so far. He described this as a historic achievement aligned with the government’s promise of creating sustainable livelihood opportunities.

He further added that ‘Rozgar Kranti’ remains a top priority, with the government committed to ensuring transparent recruitment processes to build a strong, efficient, and youth-driven administrative system across departments.
